Bill increase despite fixed contract

In Mar 21 I renewed my Plusnet broadband/phone contract over the phone @ £24.99 until Sep 22 (18 months). I specifically qualified that the bill would not increase during the 18 months and be £24.99 until Sep 22 and this was agreed by the Plusnet operator. Note: I have been with Plusnet for several years now and not had any trouble apart from a few billing errors which were dealt with in a reasonable manner, hence why I stayed.
In Apr 22 my bill rose by just under £5 so in early May 22 I called them and highlighted that I'd agreed £24.99 until Sep 22 after a long discussion with the help desk we agreed one of their managers would review the call from Mar 21 and call me back within three days; this didn't happen. I called again in mid May and the same thing was agreed but didn't happen. I called a third time on 30th May but you've guessed it didn't happen.
I'm not partial to hitting my head against a brick wall so does the community have any suggestions, ie do I have the right to swap providers as they have brocken the contract or would I have to take them through th small claims court when the contract runs out, or?
I look forward to your comments.

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2021/05/plusnet-price-hikes/ - "Plusnet says anyone who took out a new contract since 7 October 2020 agreed to a CPI + 3.9% price rise. Anyone who signed up before 7 October 2020 but was still in contract in March 2021 won't see prices rise while they're still in contract."
