Am I entitled to compensation? change of itinerary

Hello
I was scheduled to flu Man - BRU - TLV with Brussels Airlines. I was on my way to the airport 3 hours before the flight when I got a message from Brussels Airlines that my Itinerary has changed and I will now be flying 6 hours later from Manchester to Athens and a stopover of 7 hours, with a flight to TLV landing at 2:45pm. The arrival time was exactly 12 hours after I should have arrived on Brussels Airlines.
Brussels Airlines did not cancel the flight, rather, there was a delay in the Manchester to Brussels flight which would have caused me to miss my connection.
I came home from the airport and tried to find better alternative options but since there was nothing available, I took the change they offered.
I had also purchased luggage with Brussels Airlines, which they did not rebook for me on the new ticket. I therefore had to pay £75 in the airport for the suitcase.
Am I entitled to compensation? I had to pay twice for a taxi to the airport plus for the suitcase - and for the delayed arrival time of 12 hours.
Thanks
