Best way to pay in euros

I have to pay for two villas one 4201 euros 2nd one 3129 euros for my holiday. I’m trying to find the cheapest way. It’s all very confusing. Would I be better paying by Santander credit card (phoned to see what their fees would be and they said there would be fees but couldn’t tell me what they were !!) or paying by transfer where I loose it on the exchange rate. Would appreciate any advice thank you

Which payment methods are supported by the supplier?
Direct bank transfers offer little protection and often involve poor exchange rates, but specialist currency brokers tend to be a cost-effective alternative (but still with less protection than a card):

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/travel-credit-cards/ outlines decent credit and debit cards, plus information on fees for others - Santander Zero is a good one but their others aren't....1
