Surely this is a complete violation on their part in regards to obtaining the OPs personal data. There is no grace period.
It's contradictory as they've sent them a Parking Charge and he/she has not even "parked". The sign "forbids parking" then there is no way that a forbidden driver could actually agree a contract to park especially not within 53 seconds in poor light!!
How is a 53 second stop meet the definition or "parking". The sign in that section is forbidding and I don't see how it's enforceable?!? Surely you have to stop to read it!?!?
How the hell are they supposed to Read OPS waffle'y time wasting signs in 53 seconds when it actually takes closer to 10 mins?!? This will get laughed at In a court.
They'll get laughed at in court for this. The OP should either tell them to do one, speak to the Argus and publicly nane/ shame those greedy idiots or wait out to see it they are stupid enough to push it to court - following advice here.
