Buyer not collected item

As per my previous responses , cancel sale using ‘problems with buyers address’ and refund through that. You will lose the 30p only.BriNylon said:Buyer has contacted me today to say that he wants the item delivered despite the listing saying it is collection only. I had a feeling this was going to happen. Lives miles away so has obviously made a mistake reading the listing. Presumably if I do nothing he can open up an INR claim and win?
How do I refund without having to pay FVFs?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Sorry to be so slow on the uptake, but you said on page 1 that I have already paid FVFs. So if I cancelled the sale using problems with buyers address, will eBay refund my FVFs?0 -
Yes. You won't get the 30p fixed fee back though.BriNylon said:

We have had a collection only item bought by a buyer before they realised they lived too far. Sale was cancelled but the item is stuck as awaiting payment even though I've sold it...If it is collection only, you should be fine for not sending it as you didn't specify postage in your listing. Also don't agree for courier delivery as that will only get messy. On collection only, sister sold the hardtop on her convertible to a buyer in London (she lived in Yorkshire), they turned up with no issues. Think it was the colour roof that was hard to get second hand.May you find your sister soon Helli.

If you cancel the sale under the current rules it stops any unpaid reminders etc being sent out by ebay as sale no longer exists, item can then be refunded without penalty although any original listing fees are not refunded.TripleH said:We have had a collection only item bought by a buyer before they realised they lived too far. I would also block the buyer and prevent them from being stupid and trying to buy again.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The item I think is stuck as when you probe into it it says it is cancelled. I have chased ebay and they tell me it is cancelled. I'll sort when I have time to sit down at a laptop.Cheers again SoolinMay you find your sister soon Helli.
