Notifications received - even when notifications switched off

This seems to be becoming more of an issue - on posts where I've had notifications switched on but for which the thread has derailed/lost relevance I switch notifications off yet still continue to receive them.

Is there a bug in the system or something else I should be doing ?

Hi @k3lvc - thanks for reporting this issue. Can you clarify which type of notification you are referring to, as there are several types on this forum?

- email notifications
- the small pop-up notifications that appear bottom left on the screen
- the notification in the menu marked with a bell icon

Hi @MSE_James - just the bottom two - I have email notifications disabled

Hi @k3lvc  - it would be helpful to know which boxes you have ticked on the Notifications preferences page - would it be possible to share a screenshot either here or via email to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com ?

And could you give an example of a thread you are receiving notifications about when you think you shouldn't be?
