Stopping rugs slipping on carpet floor

This works as long as your carpet pile isn't too long Wilko Rug Tape 5m x 50mm | Wilko. I got 3 to 4 months when I used it on a runner to stop it moving on the hall carpet (fairly long pile carpet). After that I applied more tape.

Turns out we have something that looks like (note I say looks like and not IS) what you describe from Dunelm.

I'm wondering if it isn't actually it though as what we have is quite poor and totally rolls up underneath the rug. It's so thin as well.

Ours is very thin but it doesn't roll up, it's been there doing it's job for years. Of course that means the stuff they sell in Dunelm now may be different!
