Most washing machies break down at least a couple of times within 5 years. We look after our items and more often than not the washing machine breaks down & after 5 years we get a new one. Bosch or any make for that matter IMO is not what they used to be 10/15 years ago.
Did you tell them re your daughter as this would often get you the engineers asap.
If when you get a new washing machine, you could end up with different problems.
What is the problem with the machine and what did they do last time
I'd be very disappointed if my machine broke a few times in five years.0 -

We are on our fourth machine.
- our first one, Hoover, was second hand but lasted us 4 years (it was still going when we moved house and left it behind);
- the second one , Hotpoint, lasted 11 years (and we only parted with it because we were moving house again and it would not have fitted in with the colour scheme - apparently, although I may have been conned);
- the third one, another Hotpoint, lasted just over 16 years before it decided to throw a leg out of bed (sounded like someone was playing lambeg drums in our house, so it got scrapped)
- our current one, Samsung, is now over 6 years old and hasn't missed a beat
Not once have we had to call a repair engineer out for any of those machines.
Now lawnmowers are different kettle of fish, I have no idea what SWMBO does to them but they are lucky to last 3-4 years in our house.I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
Appliances sometimes break down - you need to plan for that. You’ll either need to wash things by hand or use a friend’s while yours is fixed.Realistically you can’t expect an immediate fix because of your circumstances.Their repair policy seems fair enough to me - stuff breaks, and they’ll fix it for you. It might just take a few days which you need to deal with yourself.0
