Flight delayed due to ‘operational disruption’ compensation due?

Hi
Our flight TOM139 from Montego Bay to Manchester was delayed by 4 hours yesterday. The reason given by tui for the delay was operational disruption. Could anyone advise if we are entitled to any compensation or would this reason be classed as outside the airlines control? Which is pretty much what I overheard a flight attendant telling another passenger.
TIA

You may have missed all the news whilst on holiday but can probably still google and pick up on all the reports of airport delays at the moment.  TUI have been badly impacted at MAN, down to crew issues, staff shortages with their ground handler (Swissport) and security clearance delays at Manchester airport.

Your aircraft G-TUIM has been running late on flights for over a week (although not 4h+).

Given that you were 4h06m late back and if you wish to, I think a flight delay claim for compensation would very likely pay out.  You can find the application process on the TUI website.
