Personally think a pull payment is better and so go into your NatWest app and choose to pay the credit card by a debit card payment. These days most banks consider the payment made once you give the details whereas a push payment from your current account only lands when the funds are cleared in your credit card company's account.
Faster Payment/ bill payment is usually a better option. From a practical perspective, they usually arrive as cleared funds in seconds.This. Actually I'm pretty sure NatWest are one of those credit card issuers that don't accept debit card payments at all.It appears you might be right. It used to be an option on their credit cards online account (which seems to have been retired) and by calling up and using an automated service - I just tried calling and it just kept trying to get me to make a transfer.FWIW, I prefer to pay by debit card, mostly because Halifax pay me and my fiancée ~1% cashback effectively to do so.0
