Why not offer them £630 cash?
If they had any sense they'd snatch it off you and be thankful they didn't need to deal with such a lovely customer again.
And you would have the satisfaction of getting 10% discount.1 -

If you had been overcharged by £700, you would have chased for a refund!

If it's breach of contract, then return all the goods in exchange for all the money, but I assume you don't want to do this you just want something for free, and when told you can't have it you disagree?
I'd make them an offer, at least you will feel you've had something for nothing.0 -
If that advice came from John on a bar stool, you have been misled!Sunny_smiles said:We took advice and have been told the request for the additional money is a breach of contract under common law, as the documents were agreed and signed.I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!1 -
The binding contract didn't include the dashcam though. So, according to the contract, you shouldn't have the dashcam.Sunny_smiles said:so then what is the point of the binding agreements when you purchase a new vehicle, if an error is made, then the price can change, even though there is no mechanism in the T&C's to address this?
Therefore, if you wish to keep the dashcam you should pay for it seperately. Or if you wish to stick to the original agreed contract, you should ask them to remove the dashcam (at their expense).2 -
Yes, it's wrong. Did you tell CAB about the original order form?Sunny_smiles said:is that wrong? they said there was offer and acceptance and the contract is now breached by the request for further payment1 -
Yes i told CAB all information

Well, they were wrong then.Sunny_smiles said:Yes i told CAB all information3 -
Essentially, the garage have mistakenly fitted a dashcam that you did not ask for (according to the signed contract) and did not pay for. This was their mistake, but that doesn't mean you get to keep it for free. You need to either return it, or pay for it.
