Seeking compensation for money lost due to passport delays?

Options
Those who lost their holiday money due to passport delays......can we not get a lawsuit going for everyone who has suffered? Why should we loose out?

Comments

  • Everyone's situation is different what was yours? Who do you plan on issuing a lawsuit to exactly?

Doubt you'd get anywhere as you should only book a holiday abroad if you have a valid passport. That is the advice by both tour operators and the passport office. Booking against that advice comes with a risk - such as not being able to go on holiday.

“Refund for loss of a holiday

We tell our customers not to book travel unless they’ve received their new passport as we cannot accept responsibility for missed travel. We will not give a refund or compensation if they miss travel because we did not meet our guaranteed or standard service level agreements.”
