Goodness there's tumbleweeds rolling through here again aren't there!
Fairly organised and to-plan here so far this week - although I have committed to seriously making an impact on freezer stocks over the next couple of weeks as I want to have enough space in there to rethink what I use it for a little, I think.
Last night's tea used the remaining bit of butternut squash, two small red peppers, the remaining tenderstem broccoli and a couple of florets of the regular broccoli as well. Taking tonight's tub of curry out of the freezer meant I had space for the two tubs of roasted toms and peppers from the weekend too - so all good there. I need to nudge MrEH to be sure he has a pile of salad leaves alongside his omelette tomorrow night as well.
I've just got this weekend's shop to factor in now before I head over to the July challenge thread - and it really should just be the basics - milk for MrEH, fruit, and not much else. I have a random ready-meal in the freezer to be used up - it's not suitable for MrEH as it has red wine in it and he's allergic so that might do me a lunch at work one day I think. It was gained for no cost as it was one that Dad had in Mum's freezer and isn't something she'll eat - we've gained a fair bit of stuff like that recently, oddly enough!
I need to give some thought to next week's meal-plan as it needs to allow MrEH to cater for himself for 4 days I'm not about at the end of the week...I'll also need to ensure there's a shopping list for him to work to...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

For our family of 2 adults and a picky young one our spends came in at £446.17/£600, with £153.83 left to spare. Which is a massive improvement on the £743.30 spent in May, woo hoo!I haven't included it in the challenge amount but our eating out spending was down too, £219.22 in June vs £263.14 in May, and that was even with having a visitor to stay who we usually have lots of restaurant meals and takeaways with.4

Thanks @EssexHebridean, ditching the Sainos pass and switching to Aldi had a big impact. Also telling Mr CP what we spent in May helped a lot, "How much?!" 😁.

I still read along too ☺️5

I also read along because the site tells me if there are new posts since the last time I logged in when I look at my Bookmarks tab in My Favourites. I still have the May GC thread on that list too as I haven't got round to pruning it lately. I've just removed several Advent threads as well as the May GC from my list, thanks for making me get on with it.5
