Thanks @elsiepac. I run my challenge in calendar months. So in June looking to spend under £550 all in for:
Food
Toiletries & cleaning
Household misc
Pets
Flexible about how much we spend in each category but I’m anticipating around £450 on Food.
As always this is for two adults, a 6yo and a 3yo. Kids both get free school meals now - my 3yo four days during term time (including 2x free snacks at nursery too) and 6yo five days - will need to consider July/August costs to account for them being at home… the school holidays start on the 24th June here.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Hi Elsiepac.
Could you put me down for £200 again please? Thank you.
I've had to give up on May as what with Covid and holiday I've totally lost track.

Hi Elsiepac,
Could you put me down for £275 please. Many thanks.
It's been some time since I was here but the cost of living crisis has driven me back. My budget is for 2 adults and covers food, household / cleaning and pets.

My years total so far is
£429.94/£936
which is quite a bit over what I would like it to be, in my defence I have been buying quite a few pantry bits (just in case) and the inevitable cleaning bits and bobs. I'm hoping I can have a really low spend 4 weeks to claw some of it back, as I'm getting a little produce off the lottie and I can use the community pantry and local food hub for any tins, bread etc so hoping to keep it low.

Well, I've had an absolute disaster of a May:fiascocatastrophemessdebacledamp squibflopdudwashoutdead lossdead ducknon-starterno-hoperfail.
But it's a new month! So given that I'm going to come in a full £70 over budget on my previous £150 target, I'm going to split the difference for June:£185 please!
I'm living alone and now physically can't cram any more food in my freezer without it becoming so dense it starts creating its own black hole and passing into a parallel universe. I do have people coming to stay but that's just part of the deal, I've got to get my spend down, even when there's 'special' days.Grocery challenge September 2022: £230.04/£200

Hi, can I join in please? I’m new to the forum but have been reading along for the past few months.I’d like to aim for £350 this month, for 2 adults and my two boys aged 6 and 4. Not sure if I can do it but hopefully being on here will make me more accountable!10

Thanks for the new thread @elsiepac. Another concerned you hadn't been on. Hope you are OK.
I came in well under budget for May with about £95 left. This is mainly as I was running down the freezer and cupboards before a long holiday in June. So I won't be taking part for June but back again for July.
