Currently people with permanent construction second homes will be getting the payment twice...brewerdave said:The problem will be that if they expand it, it'll probably capture second holiday homes as well, like static caravans - politically that wouldn't go down well.0 -
Hello, I have posted very much the same as you have, I have e.mailed my MP, the Chancellor, the Energy Minster any many more and waiting on answers, this has to be sorted.0

It's a jokeI don't think they have claimed "everyone" will get this grant it's currently only for people who have an account with an energy supplier. It's not "a joke" as you describe because they have gone for the easiest and cheapest option where they just give it to all residential energy accounts because that's the least amount of admin, least amount of cost and allows it to be paid out quickly. You have every right to petition the goverment and i would have thought unusual cases like yourself should have a route to get support through the council instead so you don't miss out. But no point in getting annoyed at how it's been done because they havn't intentionally missed you out.0 -
How do you pay for your usage in these situations? Is it metered Or a fixed amount? How much do you pay for a unit? Do you pay a standing charge?Living the dream in the Austrian Alps.0

This is from the official fact sheetThis means that almost all of the eight million most vulnerable households will get £1,200 of one-off support in total this year to help with the cost of living, with all domestic electricity customers receiving at least £400.You are not a domestic customer, you receive your energy through a commercial account.4 -
Yes we do pay site who are a commercial account
On my site the age group are mostly 60's and upwards and most only have state pension to live on ,they could do with this help
Yet Rishi and his mates who don't need this £400 will get it because they pay direct to an energy provider
None of it makes sense yes help people but not billionaires who dont need the help

Governments find it difficult to target payments to individuals, its much easier to do it the way they are but if you have a better idea then tell your local MP.0
