eBay woes. Collection only item

I listed an item on ebay as collection only.  Cash on collection.  The item has been sold and the buyer has paid me.  I think it said that funds would be available when delivery has been confirmed.  How can I confirm delivery on a collection only item?

After reading this, I think I have done this all wrong.  I don’t think my buyer was given a collection code, but I will check.
Is there some way that I could cancel his payment and get him to pay me cash?

Has it been collected? Ask for the code on collection.

Also take a picture, just for corroborating evidence.

No, it hasn’t been collected.   He is coming tonight.  I think I did it all wrong and he hasn’t got a code.

I thought taking a picture was useless unless you had a tracking code?  Has this all changed now?

Have you asked him if he's got a code?

Nothing has changed and you are correct, a photo of some random stranger with your goods proves nothing.

OP, you need a collection code , it will either have been sent as a QR code and /or as a number code they can give you. Also, you cannot refund buyer and force them to pay cash.

He says he has not got a code.
Can I refund them and ask them to pay cash rather than force them to do that?
    What is the answer?

I would go to your E bay account and right on the top banner move to help and contact go to where it says more help and contact us. Pick nearest of the six options.  When you press this - there is option for E Bay to call you on the number listed on your account.  I was called within less than 3 mins by there Irish Call Centre
The problem I had was different but the help and support and link I was sent was all sorted within minutes.
I was under the impression that you couldn't speak to anyone it was all automated, but you actually can.
