Which one would you choose for fixed savings (other than the rate)?

Options
Zopa or Kent Reliance or Charter savings bank?

I like the fact that Kent R has branches. The others are all online I believe, not sure if that matters.
In the back of mind I am thinking of ease of contact I suppose.

One of them has pretty awful online reviews, quite a lot of them- probably to be taken with a pinch of salt?

Thank you.

As they all have FSCS up to £85k, I would use the one(s) with the best rate(s).

Zopa only pays interest at maturity. The other 2 there's the monthly / annual option is something you might want to consider

Although for me KR is effectively online only since nearest branch is hundreds of miles away

I have An isa with Kent reliance, biggest headache ever setting it up and funding it.
They said they asked for the funds other bank said they did not.
This went on for 4 weeks and I made over 30 calls to each of them.
I lost out on interest and time and effort.
Financial Ombudsman Service got involved afterwards and found in my favour.
isa backdated to original date of opening, extra interest paid and £200 compensation.
Im dreading getting my money out of their hand in July when my isa term runs out.

I’ve got saving with Atom, Tandem, Marcus, Raisin, Skipton, Ford Money, First Direct and Chase bank.
Never had any issues with them.
At the minute I’m a rate matters person.
Before investing my money I call to see what the service is like.

Thanks for the reply. Good it got sorted.

Were you anywhere near a branch?

Charter has some good reviews. Might try them.

Shame my own bank (one of big 5) interest rates are so very low or I would keep savings there.

    Very good idea.

Will have a look at some of those banks you mention.

    Thanks for your help.

I've never had any problems with Charter...had 80K+ with them, on and off, for the past 10 years.  I just go on interest rates. Charter/OakNorth/Paragon/Aldermore....all much of a muchness.
