... or does anyone else make macaroni as a dessert?
I cooked some for dinner earlier, which reminded me of how my mum used to make it with sugared milk for pud when I was younger ... loved it ... but, oh, Mr Cholly's face when I told him :rotfl: he's probably wondering if this is some weird English thing (Mr C is from Argentina).
So were we the only ones?

Oh how weird!!! My dear mum used to make this, and I hated it, but loved rice pud. Just lately I've had a real longing for macaroni pudding:o I must make one, will have to go to buy some tomorrow:rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Phew! Thanks, Linda & Jo, glad I'm not alone, I thought I was going to have to start a 'Eat Macaroni Pud' campaign.
Of course, now Mr C will just think that ALL the English are mad ... he already says we sound like we're strangling the words when we speak our own language ...0 -

I've never heard of thisand thought you were weird too! Then I remembered that's pretty much what rice pudding is so I don't see why it shouldn't be a pudding :rotfl:Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself. Oscar Wilde0

I can remember having this when I was quite young - not sure where though. I know it wasn't in school - it could possibly have been in hospital when I was about 4 years old.0
