Three Mobile Broadband

I have just renewed my Three Mobile Broadband for another 2 years and they sent me a new ZTE modem (previously Huawei) and new SIM card and ever since my signal strength has gone down to 2-3 (previously 4-5) and download and upload speed gone right down.
Can anyone please suggest what I can do?

Have you tried your new SIM in your old modem? Is that any better?

As above, try using the old router and if that solves the problem put the new one into a cupboard.
That's what I did when BT sent me a shiny new router which had worse performance and fewer facilities than the old one.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
