How to claim parking spaces missing on title plan?

I live in a terraced house which is part of a 5 house development (the three houses in the middle are terraced and each house at the end are semi detached). My house is house number 2. This development was built in the 1970's and there has only ever been one owner of house number 2 (me). Each house has a garden and at the end of the gardens there is a block of 10 garages. Each house owns two garages and two additional external parking spaces outside of each garage).
In the title plans for houses 1, 3, 4 and 5, the external parking spaces are shown in the title plans. However, for house 2 the two external parking spaces are NOT shown. The title plan only shows the boundary up to end of the two garages. I have been using these external parking spaces since I bought the property in the 1970's so I think there must be a mistake in the title plan. I would like to get the title plan changed to show that the property also includes the two external parking spaces.
My question is ..... it is possible to request the change to the title plan myself at the Land Registry or do I have to use a solicitor?
Any feedback much appreciated.

Have you checked that the spaces aren't registered at the Land Registry at all?1

On what basis would you be claiming that land? A mistake in 1970? If so, I think that you would need a court order.Unless you fenced off the land, of course? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1

Best to find out who land registry has as owning those spaces first. You can't just claim them1

presume it won't be on the LR online if not changed hands since the 70s1

It's possible that the spaces are on a separate title.
However, in the dfirst instance you can do a title map search to find out if the land is registered and if so, who it is regieredto, and acna then look at getting it trnasferred to you - you may be able to apply for adverse possession if it is not registered to you.
Are you planning to sell, or is there another reason why you have now found this out or need to rectify it?

I don’t see how adverse possession works, unless the op has fenced off the land? That’s rather unlikely in a garage setting.TBagpuss said:It's possible that the spaces are on a separate title.

As Flugelhorn says, a map search at the LR is unlikely to help as I imagine yours was the 1st registration, so whoever owned or owns that land it's probably unregistered.Contact the developer?Claim under Adverse Possession?

Or, keep quiet, as nobody has complained in the last 50 years? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

That's fine till OP comes to sell......

Or indeed until someone else starts parking there and says "Prove they're yours".canaldumidi said:GDB2222 said:Or, keep quiet, as nobody has complained in the last 50 years?
