I've never bought a car warranty before, but presumably there is some reference in the documentation that refers to the vehicle you originally bought?  So either the purchase invoice for the car refers to (or mentions) the warranty, or the warranty documentation refers to the car purchase?

If so, then unless the warranty T&Cs specifically state that the warranty can be transferred to a different car, I would presume it can't be transferred and is specific to the original car you bought.

All pro-rated and obviously with no previous claims

Always worth a call to the warranty provider rather than the dealer
