Hello,
Does anyone know of any credit cards which can be paid by debit card ? Either over the phone or online ?
Anyone used a debit card to pay for a credit in a bank ?
Thank you for all replies.

Can I ask why you want to do this? Would it not be easier to make a payment direct from your bank to your credit card. You can easily do the latter.

Most of them can be paid by debit card, as far as I know. Certainly Tesco, Halifax, M&S, Sainsburys, Santander can be paid by debit card. In essence, paying by debit card is no different to doing it via the online banking standard "paying a bill" method, or even going into a branch with a fistful of used notes. Online banking (or better still, Direct Debit) is far more convenient in my view, but there's no reason you can't use a debit card.

Most of them now allow payments via app, you go into the app, say you want to pay, choose your bank and they transfer you to your banking app, you authorise payment and all done, lot easier than trying to pay by debit card. I would check the terms if you are trying to get a cashback from debit card e.g. with Chase as to whether they would pay for this as it's more likely to be treated as cash1

MBNA do it, as farfetch states above log in to the app and click pay credit card it takes you to banking app to authorise the payment1
