All the info so far is that yes, every domestic electricity account will get the credit. It won't matter what tariff you're on or who your supplier is or how you pay.

The answer would appear to be yes but why September 2021 specifically out of interest?
  • Hi just got the £66/67 money from the gov which has been taken off my monthly payments, so am I right in thinking this will not come off my elec bill they have just lowered my DD. for example lets say I pay £150 per month DD, but only use £80 per month foe both gas and elec and the firm has dropped my DD £83 per month, so when the next bill comes it will still be £80 but I pay £83 DD, if so the company is getting the governments money but not really helping me as I could have lowered my DD my self and saved that money anyway, it was only £150 pm so I could build up a credit for the winter months, hope this makes sense.

You have misunderstood, the £66/67 will be paid into your account at your electricity supplier, so you still get £150/£149 paid in, £83 from you and £66/67 from the Government.

  • Hi,
if unsure, check both electric and bank account for a credit of £66/67.
  • Hi that makes more sense but will see if this comes abouts as it has not shown up on my account yet.

Way too early to be getting worried about these credits...
Odds are it will arrive in the next week or so, there was never a commitment to deliver these in the first 2 working days of the month...

Can anyone see in the guidance what date you need to be on supply to get the payment for that month? I'm moving house right now and am concerned I could end up in a situation where I miss out at both old and new property if it's up to the energy company to interpret the rules. I can't personally find anything that makes this clear.
