As you have seen from the discussion above there is no general E7 capped tariff.38brianp said:I am on an electricity only economy 7 tariff due to expire shortly and am trying to budget for increasing prices. In this regard I am looking for the current kw/hr cap rate for this tariff - grateful for help here please. There is a cap, but it is calculated on the basis of a 58/42% split between day/night so as long as the suppliers tariffs are below the cap with that ratio then they are within the limits set by Ofgem. The trick is finding a supplier that is cheaper for your specific day/night ratio...So in Gerry's example above, if you tend to use more than 58% during the day, you may find that Octopus is a better choice, but if you use more than 42% at night then EDF will be better...

And yet the OP will they return lolPhones4Chris said:
Yes, I'll jump in being on an E7 tariff. Gerry1 is quite right about the different E7 rates between suppliers. I've recently looked at mine as I was considering changing supplier. The single rate SVR tariffs are however pretty consistent across suppliers so are a good "guide".Mstty said:Any more to jump in🤣🤣🤣 let's see if the OP is with EDF first.
Love this forum😜
