I already feel so much more motivated just because of the environment and the people I work with. Amazing how it makes such a difference! x

Period 30th September to 27th October
Halifax CC1
- Opening Balance £2737.45
- Paid £80.45 £30 of this is via DD
- Closing Balance £2657
This credit card is now my main focus as it has the least amount of time left on at 0% interest. I believe I have until mid March before interest is charged. Annoyingly I cant seem to find the option to manually change the amounts paid each month over direct debit. My only choice is either to pay the minimum, or pay the amount in full. Aah well! I shall continue to pay the minimum but then use the rest of the £30 transferred from my salary each month to top it up. At the end of the period as usual, I will then make a lump overpayment. When I say lump, I mean whatever straggly bits I have left!
Tesco CC2 (new)
- Opening Balance £1651.13
- Paid £0 £0 of this is via DD.
- Closing Balance £1858.13
This credit card is now properly up and running. Yes, I did sin. Your eyes do not deceive you! I decided to treat myself with me starting a new place of work in a higher position and decided to turn into a girl before my 30th. I shopped at Matalan and Next and came away with 5 beautiful blouses, a pencil skirt, 2 pairs of court shoes and a pair of work trousers. I don’t feel guilty or ashamed because I feel damn good wearing them instead of my crappy 10 year old clothes that make me look not at all like a girl. Even my partner was taken aback by my new look. He loves it of course! I actually love it too! I really feel the part and it has done wonders for my self esteem. Anyway, I know I will be able to pay this off without a problem.
DWP
- Opening Balance £638.80
- Paid £31.94 via DD.
- Closing Balance £606.86
As always, there is still no pressure with this one to overpay as it will run for 2 years paying the same amount without interest.
Mum
- Opening Balance £1300
- Paid £0
- Closing Balance £1300
Mum has said I can take as long as I need to pay this back as and when. Aim is to remove the rest and then pay back.
The total amount of money thrown at my debt this period is £112.39.On payday eve I did have roughly another £125 spare which would normally be thrown into the EF or as an overpayment to the main CC but with me knowing I would receive a far smaller final salary than normal yesterday I kept this in my main account as a little buffer. I also had to use £400 out of my EF to cover me completely but that is what it is there for and I am so grateful for having it as otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford all my bills!
As mentioned in previous posts, I am now changing the goalposts regarding my debt repayments. I have decided to focus primarily on overpaying my mortgage as this is where I am losing sooo much money to interest each and every month. £72,439 to be exact if I don’t make any extra payments to the mortgage! Makes my eyes water! So, the plan is to throw the first £200 of surplus cash at the end of the period at my mortgage. Whatever is left will then be split between building my emergency fund back up and overpaying on CC1.
Here's to the next four weeks! 28 days and counting until my new salary!

The deduction from the final salary is not as bad as I had expected to see, so thats a positive. You should be able to overpay more soon, and as long as the card is paid off or down before the higher interest kicks in you will be able to really hit the totals and see them fall.
Amazing what new clothes can do for you, especially if it is for a new higher level jobCredit card debt - NIL

Definitely agree with new clothes for a new job as it does help with boosting confidence! You deserve it after doing so well to get the job in the first place!Debt free November 20221

Thank you @SusieT
Oh yes I fully intend on paying it down by the minimum whilst I clear my CC1. Once that is gone I shall target CC2 with overpayments. New clothes really do help don't they?!
Thanks @sunshine_raincloud! I did feel a treat was in order! That plus its my 30th next month and I would like to try and become more girly so this was the best opportunity for me to trial it! xDebt Remaining: £8,781.53

Hello @Squirrelz92
I have just caught up on your doar, wow your doing amazing!
Sorry about the exam but i agree wait until March for a resit, there will be some leave over Christmas hopefully where you could get a few hours or days extra studying too!
I am so glad the new job is going well, you deserve it, loving that they are giving you the confidence boost too, i think a new job (when its the right one with the right company)opens yours eyes to how much you can handle. Like you i have left jobs due to being bored, filling your day with pointless jobs just to stay busy, its soul destroying.
Your debt journey is going so well too, well done! I am going to channel it into mine and stop spending then feeling rubbish about it.
Your so inspirational, i promise i will come along more often as your posts are so uplifting!3 -

Your so inspirational, i promise i will come along more often as your posts are so uplifting!Bless you, that really does mean so much to me so thank you! I must say, I definitely agree with you there regarding how much your eyes open when with the right company. Already I have wanted to go above and beyond for them, not because I am new but because I am genuinely already loving my job and what it entails. It is truly the best feeling
I hope you have now managed to find a job where you too feel the benefits like me. It sucks leaving different jobs and often doesnt look too great on your CV (I got asked about it when I was interviewed for this position), but after only a week I can't see myself leaving this position for a good few years at least. I hope to move up the ranks!
It's not very often at all where I choose to spend something on myself as there is always everyone else to look after but with my new job and wanting to feel the part and more feminine, I took the plunge and don't regret it at all. Of course I will now curb the urge to buy another blouse and ask my family to get me a gift card for my birthday or Xmas instead
Still keeping an eye on your journey! Don't give up and keep plodding along no matter how fast or slow you need to go!
PAD to the mortgage pot of £3.02 to round my account down
My Mum, Grandma and Stepdad are travelling up this morning to watch my son play his football match which will be lovely as it has been a while since they have seen him play. Not the best conditions with it being grim weather for the last week but it should make for entertainment with the slipping and sliding about! My poor washing machine! May have to do the food shop tomorrow as normally I get it done at 10am when the doors open, but with family coming up and needing to be at the ground for 10.30am, I won't have enough time. Hopefully I have enough in for the kids packed lunches tomorrow!

On another note, does anyone know why after I edited my signature, it has all merged together? On the signature editing screen they all have a gap between each line and this has never happened before? Ruddy annoying!!!Debt Remaining: £8,781.53
