Like others have said, you are doing so well and you should be completely happy with what you have achieved so far.  Just think thats 6.41% of debt gone forever!

Keep it up, you will get there and sometimes will be able to chuck alot towards debt and other times you wont, just see it as a win anyway so long as you dont add further to debt!

    Well done You!

    Morning! ITS PAYDAY!!!

All of my usual bills have been sucked back out from my current account into their individual pots leaving me with an alright amount to last 4 weeks.

I have made my first PAD of the period using Prolific funds being £5.25 so that has gone straight to CC2 :)

Nothing exciting on a Friday other than I know it will be a spending day due to needing to buy the weekly shavings and a refill bucket of treats for her highness! Get to finish work early which is always a pick me up mood wise and I am making chicken parmesan with pepperoni this evening so that should go down well with everyone :)

    Good morning folks,

    PAD today of £4.75 to CC2 :)

Its only been two days so not much missed! Had a brilliant family day out at Formby beach yesterday as a joint birthday event! My family drove up from Stafford to meet us there and we spent 7 fabulous hours catching up, eating, playing beach games and enjoying the sunshine! Only regret is not wearing suntan lotion as my face is now soooo sore and bright red :( Aah well!

Its my DD’s birthday on Tuesday so today we are heading to a trampoline park for her low key birthday party. I explained to both my children earlier on in the year that I simply couldn’t afford to pay for a big party or presents this year and thank goodness they were perfectly fine with it. They asked if they could each invite one friend for their birthdays and to go somewhere for an hour or so instead. So we are hitting the trampolines today. I’ll be sat upstairs in the cafe studying whilst the three children bounce away! Debating smuggling in a few drinks as I can’t afford to pay the prices they charge :( For two hours each for three children it’s costing me £45 of which I have saved up for with my birthday pot taking £20 out of my current account each week!

Also doing the food shop today using my meal plan once more but I expect this to be a little more expensive with needing to buy a birthday cake, balloons and banners :) again I will refund this birthday spend back into my current account using funds from the birthday pot.

Received both my children’s school reports on Friday and they were really great so very happy there! Have told them both I’m happy to provide a reward, probably in the form of money as they love seeing their current account balance going up. My mum and grandma also gave them £15 each to say well done so I want to take them to the post office so they can deposit this money themselves.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather!

  • I think it's really lovely that your kids understand the pressure and were fine with scaling back the birthday celebrations, not many children like that around!  Hope they have an amazing time!

    Morning folks,

Today is my DD's birthday :) She is 8! Had good fun decorating the living room last night. Was so nice to have a room finally renovated and looking perfect to celebrate in properly. She opened all her presents before school and loved everything. The best part for me was knowing how little I had spent (£50 of the £100 free Amazon voucher I got from switching broadband) but seeing her so happy with what she had received! Definitely proves to me that its not about how much you spend at all :) She had 6 presents from me totalling £50, one of which was £25 being a girly watch with a heart rate monitor/step counter/activity tracker/alarm etc. She loved it! Her choice of takeaway tonight is Chinese so I shall pay for that out of the birthday pot and I have already bought the cake for dessert. Also took a little detour to Asdaaaaaa yesterday to grab some banana milk and chocolate pancakes for a mini birthday breakfast whilst opening pressies before heading to school.

In a good mood this morning after that so long may it last! Chances are slim with plenty of reporting to do at work!

Daily PAD of £1.17 made to CC2 :)
