DD problems So Energy

Just a heads up to let people know So Energy have not been collecting DDs for May. Spent 2 days trying to resolve and paid by Debit Card.
Eventually a CS advisor eventually admitted systems down for a few weeks. In this digital age wouldn't it have been easier to put an announcement online. The likelihood is now when fixed I will pay twice. If they had just told me I would have waited for them to resolve.

    We are with So Energy and our DD was taken on 12 May as usual.

    Unless it has been 13 months since the last DD was taken, in which case it may have lapsed, it is always the responsibility of the originator to initiate the DD, so all you need to do is ensure that the funds are available in the relevant account. Paying by debit card was the wrong thing to do.
