hi, my sons flight from Tenerife to Norwich was cancelled yesterday 22nd May. ( flight from Norwich was cancelled as well so the plane never got to Tenerife)
they needed to get home and Tui didn’t know when they could get them on another flight so they booked a flight with jet 2 back to Stansted ( about 3 hours after their flight should have left to Norwich) and then got a lift from a family member to Chelmsford and got the train back to Norwich
As it turned out Tui did arrange an alternate flight nearly 24 hours later back to Gatwick and then a coach back to Norwich
I know they should be able to claim the expenses of flight costs and train fares from Tui but are they entitled to compensation as well ?

Possibly. It depends on the reason for cancellation.Google and download Vauban's guide as a starting point. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

The flight should have been operated by a Sunwing aircraft but using TUI cabin crew. It appears they could not find a sufficient crew to operate the plane, a problem TUI has on a daily basis at the moment.1
