Thank you so much everyone for the feedback, it is very much appreciated.
I'll go back and do battle with EDF now. During this period they have just kept us on their normal tariff and offered £50 compensation because we were unable to move to a fixed tariff last October!0 -

I don't think that was still available in October though, most of the long term fixed deals priced at around the October cap level were pulled before 1st October. The October fixed deals were around £50-£100 higher than the cap, so had you been on one of those you would still have paid more than being on a cap up to now.Fairzo said:EDF offered a 3 year fix in mid-August last year, to start at beginning of October and run to September 2024. I'll post a screenshot of the offer.0 -
Yes, appreciate that. Just providing what information I had in the hope that it might assist.wakeupalarm said:

I sent EDF a long email on Friday pointing out how much not being a good fixed deal could potentially cost us.Fairzo said:

They have come back offering to put us on a fixed deal very similar to the one that Fairzo posted so we are very happy with the result.
A considerable improvement on their initial offer of £50 compensation!
Thanks Fairzo for the screenshot!
