You'll definitely need to look further than the Post Office for good rates.

The best easy access and fixed rate ISAs are currently paying at least 5 times more than the Post Office at the moment.

Cash ISAs have been very poor value for many years now. You can do better than the PO but even the best are poor and most people can do better placing their cash outside an ISA.

What did you do with the information posted in response to the last time you asked a similar question a couple of months ago?

    Yes they're called S&S ISAs
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

Just a statement like that on its own is potentially very dangerous, please put context around it.

Stocks and Shares ISA's have an entirely different risk profile to a cash ISA, you are putting your capital at risk where as with a cash ISA the capital is not at risk. It would really depend on what the OP's ambition is for the money they are investing and for how long they are looking to keep it invested.

If this money is not something that can be invested for a longer period, preferably 10 years+ then a S&S ISA may not be something to consider at all.

Depending on whether the OP is a higher tax payer or has a substantial amount saved and would trigger the interest tax limit then it may be worth looking outside of the ISA market.

Is there a tax limit for ISAs? Thought no tax is paid on income generated from an ISA

There is no limit to the tax exempt income that can be earned within an ISA. There is such a limit outside of an ISA, so it is relevant for comparison purposes. Most people don't need the benefit of a cash ISA as they wouldn't pay tax anyway.
