There is no requirement for 14 days to have passed to get the booster. So you can get it the day before you go.

Yes there is.   Vaccines take a while to kick in, getting a jab and then travelling is no different to not having a vaccine.

We arrived in Berlin in April with our NHS app open and there was no checks!

  • Thanks to those who have looked into and/or provided actual facts/experience. I was feeling very stressed when I made the initial post.

It's all so frustratingly worded and contradictory between UK Gov & Germany (As someone mentioned, the Netherlands at least is explicitly clear on booster shot validity)

Anyway, I had my booster last week (and it showed in the NHS app the next day) so I think I'm all good.

I fly out tomorrow and if I remember I will report back what, if anything, happens.

Did the airline check your vaccinations before you departed ?
  • No checks at all either this side or Germany on the way out or way back.  Mask wearing on the plane was less than 50% also.

Which airline please? I am due to fly to Berlin in July but Easyjet still specifies a full medical mask (not a face covering) unless it has been changed in the past couple of weeks since I last looked.
