Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry sun putting in an appearance, supposed to be warmer today than yesterday - forecast changed from showers most days to warm and sunny - wash load ready to peg out in a mo.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, rice and noodles - all eaten and enjoyed, tonight may be cottage pie - which I'll make when I get home this afternoon.
Working half day at the other office - we'll see how that goes as other colleagues have had their rota's changed (at their request) and some of that effects me but I've not been told anything! I've found out by hearsay!
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Very windy out this morning, we've had torrential rain overnight, although it's dry at themoment. Please come back sunshine!
Extremely busy day at work yesterday, I was exhausted when I got home and didn't do anything at all apart from eat my tea and watch TV, even that I couldn't concentrate on so went to bed early. I read for a while listening to the rain outside, quite a soothing way to get to sleep.
Hope the little one is recovering dp1, Chickenpox is rife around here.
Glad you have your Dad's power sorted out Nanny.
Sorry to hear of your Nephew's passing Mehefin.
Hugs to the poorlies and those struggling at the moment.
Happy Wednesday, take care. XX

Morning
Lovely day yesterday lots of cloud but very warm. Looks like much the same today. Its certainly gorgeous now. I'll kick some up camelot
Saw mum yesterday. All well but it seems she is not eating enough again. She is so tiny and thin I can understand her view that she’s just not hungry but they are keeping an eye on her as obviously this is not good. Other than that she was fine I got to see her room which has just been painted, new floor chairs and wardrobes. With her personal bits it looked great with Ducky taking pride of place on the window sill of course. Am a little worried about the eating but the staff are amazing so I’m pretty confident they will make sure she’s OK. When she arrived here from the last home her legs and feet were covered in angry ulcers but now she is back to normal and even walking a little.
Need to put the bedding back together today which is my worst job but hopefully will be easier with the wafer thin duvet.
Had some leftover liver last night with veg. Tonight will be lasagne with some garlic bread slices
Gers didn’t you buy a new mouse not long ago? Hope it’s not that one
Taff Yeah new car. Hope it had that lovely new smell
DP1 Hugs to little one. She has to go through so much
Rubes Hope mum is doing OK
Have a good day all and enjoy the sun if you have any

Godd morning, thanks for starting NMLC, hope work goes ok for you. Finding out about changes that affect you just from casual conversation is not good, you might get some official info today. It's another fine start ,yesterday was nice. Even late-ish last night when we walked home from the quiz, it was mild. So often here evenings turn chilly even if it's been a warm day.I did a bit of shopping yesterday, but I'm going out this morning again - I'd seen a throw that I liked in one of the shops on Saturday, and meant to get it yesterday, of course I forgot, so I'll go for it this morning. We don't live far from the shops so it's no trouble, it won't take me long.Hope the holidaymakers are enjoying their time away, and having good weather.Thinking of anyone who is poorly and/or struggling with life.Take care folks.13

Morning all
Dry and bright here and looks to be a lovely day, yesterday it was so warm in the afternoon it was like middle of August heat.
Off to work for me and my last day of the week, my angry client is not in today as she is not well, just the two today and they are both really nice characters will make some form of cake today.
Dinner tonight will be pork chops with sw chips and some veg, nice and easy, will do the potatoes when I get in tonight. DW to empty this morning and I will see if there is enough washing for a wash.
DD is off out today and tonight to celebrate her friends Birthday so we will have big pup for the night, she is no trouble but does miss DD when she is not here.
Nels glad mum was ok but sorry to hear she is not eating well xx
Mehefin I am so sorry to hear about your nephew xxx

Morning folks. The torrential rain started yesterday evening and by nearly 9 o'clock it was if a high pressure water hose was being pointed at my house. Almost at the end of DIY SOS the TV signal was lost, I assume this rain was disturbing the Freesat dish at the front, I moved to watch the rest on my tablet. This morning there was that bright watery sunshine which follows rain. May has been rotten so far!Today I have my final inviligation session - Business Management - after which I'll sort out a bit of my tiny wee kitchen. There's a deep drawer which should be for spices and herbs, it's become a dumping ground so last night I took everything out and washed down the inside. Now I have to put everything back and clear out stuff which shouldn't go back.Nelski - yes, the new'ish mouse!
I'd bought a cheap one at Tesco as they didn't have any choice, it wasn't that good so I'm holding back to buy a better one tomorrow or Friday. Good to hear that your DM is doing well, mine struggled to eat enough, I think it's an age related thing. My DM always told me that she's not moving around as much, or any, and so didn't need much food.
Izzy - I remember that mess well! At least a start has been made and it should be in soon. Are you having a steel lining box round the inside?DP1 - poor wee DGD, I hope that the sores heal soon.I've washed my hair and been out to bank up the potatoes, two bags are now at the top, one nearly there and two only halfway up. My own seed potatoes didn't chit at all so if they produce then it'll be a bonus. I was given some Pink Firs by a neighbour which are doing well.Right, I'm awa' - take care folks. Happy Wednesday to all.12 -
Morning, a lovely sunny start to the day here, trust me to get beef out for a stew later
, sausages for DS though as they need using or freezing.
Dp1, spots in the mouth must be horrible. I had chickenpox when I was about 8, Mum & Dad had taken us camping to Whitby when the spots appeared!Nels, hope DM eats a bit more, but sounds like she's settled in now.Izzy, remember that stage well! However we were lucky as we hadn't moved in here yet. EnjoyRight I'd better go and chop my veg for the stew and get the sc on, and have a tidy- the bedroom looks awful with holiday clothes, cases and shoes as I debate which to take. I did buy some new skechers sandals but I was wearing them in yesterday and I think the elasticated straps will be too tight when it gets hot in Greece, bad enough yesterday & the middle section of my feet looked a bit puffy
- not a good look with my wedding outfit. I think we are def going to take hand luggage only to try and avoid the luggage drop off at Manchester airport, I've tried the small cases out and weighed them and it's do-able.My brothers and families haven't got the option, with both my DNieces taking wedding dress and bridesmaid stuff as well as normal holiday wear! Taff I have ordered a shoulder bag for DH as the airline permits it too, thanks.
Hope the weather stays nice or improves if you've got rain- it did absolutely chuck it down last night here x

Morning all. Wet. But I don't care because today, after I nap in a minute, I will be gallivanting. Was still awake at 3 then woke at half seven. New [to me] car is nice to drive, very smooth considering it's what equates to a van with seats. The controls are more space age than the old one, not surprising, and I must remember to buy add blue or hatever it's called. Succesfully managed to pair my phone too which was a small miracle in itself. Only dark spot, when my friend was driving back yesterday after taking me to fetch it a stone flew up onto her windscreen and cracked it. I did say if she has to pay I will pay for it. It's only fair because it wouldn't have happened but for me. I'm going to take the stuff to the CS, the soft plastic to Tesco [ 6 months worth!], go shopping, then if I have steam left, surprise OHs mother with a trip to Ikea. I've booked a tip run for tomorrow and a meet up with a friend to go to a garden center. Pretty soon I'll be able to walk through the hallway and porch without twisting to avoid all the build up of carp.Nels, OH says it has, I reckon it must be a thing they use in the valeting they do. Hope they can persuade your mother to eat a bit, so frustrating when they are stubborn. Great that she's physically better and walking! Go your mum! Ruby, enjoy your day off and no angry client, phew! How did your meeting go after with your porspective new ones? Did I miss that? Izzy, how exciting for you!
Gers, I wouldn't worry about them chitting, stick them in the dark and soil and they should grow unless they've been irradiated...which is not likely...Nanny, I thank you [ sweeping bow]. Your father is lucky to have you two...Rosy, they don't weigh the little suitcases usually, only the big ones. And if you're first ish/ last ish in the queue they may put it in the hold for nothing, but you can pay six ish pounds for them to do that anyway. Saves faffing with overhead lockers. Dp1, poor thing, hope they have things to sooth her mouth. Take care today all....

Morning everyone
I've woke up with a migraine and very achy (again!) - a man seems to be drilling the road outside which is not helping!
I've sent an e consult to the doctor asking if there's anything at all I can try...but I suspect I know the answer.
I haven't heard from DD yet this morning. Pleased they were kept in last night for little one's blood sugars to be monitored - hopefully it might help with a quicker diagnosis.
Nelski - good to hear your mum is settling in to her new home. My dad eats very little too nowadays - he used to really like 'proper' dinners. Now he can only manage a spoon so likes easy to eat food - but very small amounts. Still tucks into chocolate though!
Thanks for all the good wishes for little one - you're all so kind. Will update later if there's any news.
hope everyone has a good day x8
