You're very fortunate that Ford are compensating you for the delay.

With most manufacturers it's either like it or lump it.
Yes, Ford has been quite decent about the matter.

Around 80% of wiring harnessess for European car manufacturers originate from the Ukraine. Well, they used to.
Off topic, sorry. Your reference to “the Ukraine” got me thinking (dangerous to do that so late at night). What is it about a country that means it has a “the” in front of it’s name? We don’t refer to “the France” or to “the Canada” (although we do refer to “the Netherlands”). The Ukraine does sound right thought but never thought why before and now I’m curious. 🙂
The French do say "Vive la France". And we may say "The United Kingdom" but not "The England".

  • Some people say The Asda or T’asda up north.

It has come as a bit of a "wake-up" call to many businesses, not just the car industry ..... a lot of work going on at the moment into de-risking supply chains and moving back to more local suppliers ( going to take a while though .....)

It is amazing what comes from Ukraine and is now in short supply = higher prices. It must have been the industrial, agricultural & mineral  powerhouse of the world.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

That's good. Looking back, I ordered my Fiesta on 29 July 2021 for a 1 November 2021 delivery. The best guidance so far is for a July/August delivery in which case it will be twelve months late.

Ukraine is the second largest country in Europe after Russia.
