Funky Pigeon Birthday Cards

I ordered a 50th birthday card for my Niece who lives in Canada. The card was ordered with others in February 2022 to be sent out in June 2022. My daughter just happened to mention to me today that she had ordered a birthday card with them, she had received an email stating their site had been compromised in Aptil and her order was cancelled and she had received a refund. When I got home I looked on my account, the status on the card was cancelled. I wrote them an email this evening asking why I had not received an email or a refund.....I have just looked on my bank account to look back to see if I had received a refund.....In my pending items, so just been added I have been refunded by them. I am so annoyed where are my rights, I entered into an order, they accepted and took my money. Surely I deserve to be advised and if I had not looked today, my Niece would not receive a card from me and I would not have been refunded. Wont be using them again

Wont be using them againIt’s May so card not due to be sent out yet. FP have sent the refund. I don’t know why it hasn’t appeared as a payment in straight away, you don’t say what kind of bank account - but it’s pending payment shortly anyway.
I expect that would shortly be followed with an email notification that you’ve been refunded, which should enable you to send a card in time.
All seems okay to me, I haven’t read anywhere about a FP site security compromise but their actions look like they are intended to protect customers.
You may get a goodwill gesture, but I doubt if you are entitled to anything beyond that.
Edit: Actually found an article about the data compromise.

Not sure what you mean by your rights. You’ve been refunded in full and have plenty of time to order another card. You haven’t lost anything.Poor service if they don’t get in touch but not sure what you’re looking for.0

It IS poor service but you have been refunded.
During coronavirus times I've been using Moonpig a lot because it's good and also, they give plenty of money off vouchers to regular customers.
However, my friend lives in Vancouver and it's her birthday at the end of May. Knowing how long it takes for mail to get to Canada, I've sent her a card via the Royal Mail collect from your own home service (that's not the right name but that's what they do) - it's only about 85p for each item and it's been very efficient whenever I've used it.
I've not been going out to shops as I'm living with someone who is extremely vulnerable but I've ordered a box of greeting cards from amazon to use with the RM service. They are Hallmark, so I trusted the quality but I've also ordered greetings cards from Sainsbury's with my weekly online shop sometimes.
Maybe something you could try?

Will you point out where the OP stated or even implied that other MSE members avoid using Funky Pigeon.
All they stated was:Wont be using them again
Which is something that is in no way a breach of any forum rules.8 -

OP, take no notice. This poster has a habit of talking twaddle.3 -

Simply a statement of intent by the OP for the future.

Compromise in April & refunding people. Something they did not need to do. Unless they did not send items out.
