There will be a delay but I'll see if I can get in touch with someone on the TA forum who was a top dude for insurance claims, now retired but helpful.
Don't hold your breath as she hasn't posted for a while and I need a computer not this tiny tablet, but it's worth a try.
I'm fortunate, if you can call it that, in I can cancel my appointments sitting me in the right frame to keep the companies happy as its not so high profile. But I do get your exasperation.
Research your holidays and be prepared so you a ready to go when the time comes :)
Meanwhile there is the UK. Amazing what you can find here. Gypsy caravan travel in Ireland, castle in Scotland? Lighthouse stay on Lundy island?

    You're more than welcome.
It's all about knowing the system and the travel system is often the great unknown.
I got turned down for my second trip on a boat in the Maldives (it was a bargain) and this time they wouldn't let me. I'd called it a dive boat - looked up the website and it was called a 'boutique cruiser'! Known to the regulars as 'the old bucket'
So I rang back and said it was listed as a boutique cruiser, she went to her manager who was totally happy.
Hope that gives you a smile.

Anyway, seems the lady is not on TA at the moment so I've emailed her. I'm not sure if she will mind me making it personal but she can always junk the message. We'll see,

    Keep planning.

It's not inconsistent more they will sell you on the information you give them,
If you need to make a claim that's when not having checked if what you are buying is right for what you want or how to deal with an emergency by their terms people shout 'scam'.
    As ever it's buyer beware.

And yes, heard back from the lady. She's on holiday at the mo. But the outcome is much as we've said.
They need to know the conditon in order to know what to hang the policy on.

So somehow you need to appeal to the doctors for some decision or other. Possibily right before or after they have come back from their travels to get them to really think about what they are leaving you with.
    Good luck :)

So very frustrating for you, they just make it so difficult as they are worried they may have to pay out..... bit like car insurance, different names for the same job make a difference apparently.

If you're feeling ok and not getting any symptoms maybe just ask the doc if they can sign you off for now and you get back in touch if the need arises. If it can take 10 yrs to diagnose MS do they expect you not to have a holiday till then, maybe they have never even thought about it.
Try to think up so good questions to ask about if you are getting any benefit or even going forward from your hospital appointments, you could even save the NHS some money lol.....
