Howdy ! I posted here about issues regarding the above , back in October iirc. The pink stuff is all gone .However, the green weedy stuff has come back and is over growing again
There was only so much I could do back then , as being a leaseholder with 2 directors in my block I couldn’t destroy the branches altogether.
I have just had a polite moan to maanaging agents this morning as the 2 “ gardeners” walked around with leaf blowers and just disappeared 10 mins later.

One of the pictures shows a nice bush. Could anyone tell me what it is? I was thinking of asking the managing agents for another one to replace the more or less dead beddleia . Not sure how much it would cost to me .
One other thing regarding that nice bush; berries used to grow but haven’t seen full growth since about 3 years ago. Maybe “ gardeners” put chemicals in there in error 🤔?
I miss seeing the birds that used to always be there.

Any advice appreciated
Thanks in advance

Forgot to add, the growth was cut about a month ago. I will keep on top of it myself once “gardeners “ have returned..0

That is two plants. The variegated one looks like a Euonymus and the one about to flower is a Pyracantha which will have had the berries in previous years. Suspect the berries are getting trimmed off by the gardeners before they ripen.3

Thanks @Nobbie1967
I’ve just taken pics from the back of those 2 plants that you mentioned. There seems to be some sort of gap below which may/ may not be visible .They keep missing the side window also .A few red berries ( hardly any tbh) did appear around January but didn’t last long . Maybe birds had them . The holly bush on the neighbours side always seems to have lots in comparison. Yes, I know the bush is not holly😬
I wonder if anyone would know if I could get those plants mentioned above to replace the thuggish buddleia, and what cost ? Is it worth it etc ?Thanks 😊0 -
I'd agree with the above. The Euonymus has been 'invaded' by the Pyracantha and both are being trimmed tight. The flowers on the pyracantha would become berries if left, but it's more vigorous than the Euonymus and might not enable the 'gardeners' to retain the ball shape. You could ask them to experiment and leave the trimming till next March, when the berries will probably have been taken by the birds. As for the Buddleia, it's not really appropriate for that location because it will either block light from your windows in order to flower properly, or you'll need to keep trimming it and lose most of its visual and wildlife value. There are smaller buddleias, like the 'Buzz' series, but I've not had much luck keeping them. Maybe someone else has.1

Have you rechecked your lease to see if the front garden, by your flat, is demised to it?
At the next AGM ask them for permission to remove it due to the impact on your flat.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Most of the cost would be effort getting rid of the buddleia properly - if this is done by digging it out, not just poisoning it new planting would be easy - cost would depend on whether you bought small plants or large ones, and success would probably be helped if you would water them until established.

What you could grow there instead of Buddleia would depend on the aspect and your location too to some extent. For example, north-facing wall in Edinburgh wouldn't be as accommodating a site as a south facing one in Totnes.Hebes are adaptable evergeen shrubs that like the sort of position the Buddleia occupies in milder locations and there are varieties with and without variegation. They all flower, and if you avoid the most vigorous ones pruning shouldn't be too arduous. That's just one suggestion and others will probably suggest plenty of other plants you could choose and not be left with bare branches in winter.1

euonymous is not an expensive plant -- the cost and effort is going to be in getting the buddleia out of the ground1

The growth on the buddleia would indicate the soil is not too poor. When growing on poor soil growth tends to be sparse.
