Heathrow PCN

Newbie here, just need some advice please.
Received a PCN from APCOA for parking at Heathrow, claiming payment wasn't made, although it was and evidence of the transaction was sent. This was rejected by APCOA on 4th April 2022. Having been away for a few weeks for some unforeseen issues, i have just picked this up. Their reminder letter has been sent dated 9th May 2022.
I used the original POPLA reference on the POPLA site to lodge an appeal but it says ' The number you entered appears to be invalid or may have expired. Please contact the private parking operator'.
Unsure as to how to proceed - any advice welcomed and thanks in advance.

OK thanks. Just getting used to using the forum!
How would i move it to the correct sub-forum, or is this via an Admin?0 -
Admins only - you could send a PM to Laura (tagged above - that's a link to her profile) ... or she might see the tagging notification and move it anyway.

If the POPLA Code is out of date - which it is - just ignore APCOA. That's not safe to do with all PPCs but it is with APCOA at Airports. They never sue anyone. Nothing will happen.HasanVR6 said:Newbie here, just need some advice please.

If it was called a 'penalty' rather than a 'parking charge' it times out within just 6 months from the event.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for that. I assume like other PPCs they will continue to send their notices for a few months?Coupon-mad said:

Just to understand your second point - a 'penalty charge' would need to be appealed to POPLA but a 'parking charge' can be ignored?0 -
I see the thread has been moved to the correct place.
