I am going to assume that the Issue Date is 21st September.

With a Claim Issue Date of 21st September, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, then as you say, you have until 4pm on Monday 24th October 2022 to file your Defence.

To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

Do not submit your defence outside office working hours as it may not be registered. Send it instead on Monday morning.

Please show us the parts of the defence template you have amended. Ensure you include points about not being liable for the actions of a passenger who was not the driver, keeper, or hirer/lessee.
You need to hammer home that the vehicle was stopped at a zebra crossing.

Sorry but i disagree. It makes no difference when you submit as long as you get the automated reply. Their email inboxes work 24/7........

Absolutely right, but as most people looking for guidance here haven't been through the process before, they may not know to confirm receipt of the automated reply.
The process seems somewhat flaky in that we occasionally see Default Judgments made when the CCBC appear to have 'not noticed' a Defence filed outside normal working hours even when an automated receipt is sent.

Folks, I was working on this until 7pm last night and saw none of your follow-on posts. I failed to spot that the thread had gone to a second page, and the later messages I posted were accepted and displayed on the page 1 view I was looking at during the day. Ugh! I will now respond to them.
