Mr D is sick of no proper meals,so I got a chinese tonight. Took one look and knew I couldnt face it
I am crunching a celery stick instead.
Still feeling awful, sickly and weak. If I can get some sleep I may feel a little better.3 -
Had 2hrs sleep 12pm-2am,and then choked and coughed and moaned and groaned till 7am,when I fell asleep for 90 mins.Feeling as bad as ever, can take days and weeks to recover.Am having some dry bread. O joy........Poor Mr Dusty. He has tried to use the Zentiva brand of latanaprost, and after only two doses he got up this morning with eyes looking like a demon in a horror film, red veins, tiny pupils, swollen eyelids which he can barely lift. Why wont they listen to us?. Terrible. Made 5 attempts to get through to chemist. (Pointless tryng to get through to the surgery with their 18 mins waiting to be put through, and then their 3 week appointment times.)But the chemist was just engaged all the time,so Mr D is going into town for a face to face. Hope he is not too angry and abrasive with them. I can see his point, but the poor chemist assistant just fills the scrip. Wasnt happy when they delivered the second lot of Zentiva and the delivery man just basically shrugged his shoulders and refused to take the offending stuff back.Yup,the NHS is surely down the drain

Hey,but there is some happy news, for some. Shell increased their profits for the 3rd quarter from 4.1 billion to a delightful 9.5 billion.Doesnt that warm the cockles of your heart.Ok,it took over 15 mins to do this post.,now I will lie on the couch(sofa? settee?)till Mr D gets back.........sigh........3 -
I hope you start to feel better soon. Get some rest and hopefully that will help.

The chemist said they are expecting another brand in a couple of days, and will send it out. Mr D couldnt tell me what brand it is,so its still a lottery..3

Time seems interminable when you are really sick.I've been in bd 3 days,it feels like a monthI at least got a good 4 hours sleep. But as soon as I try to stand up my head swims and I feel very nauseous.Really still great deal of time to recover.......sigh......Very bad afternoon. Wter was all over the kitchen floor. It was a real struggle tsoak up the water. Of course since it was Friday afternoon,4.30,we couldnt get a call through to the council. All gone home,I presume. My son came and he tried his best to at least stop the flow a little, but no soap. After 5pm we were able to contact the emergency plumber, who came at 7.30. Took about 30 mins to mend it. All the stuff in the cupboard under the sink i jammed on the bench. All my pans are dirty,as I am just not up to cleaning them. Everything is a total mess,I could cry.....OK,I will load up on painkillers, hope for a good sleep, and see how I feel tomorrow. What a life....5

MrsCD said:So sorry all this is happening to you, dusty. Is there anyone who can come in to help you while you're poorly?Everyone is working full time, and have kids or grandkids to look after. All I want to do when I am very sick is hibernate.I am slightly better today, but very weak, and dizzy if I stand up. No fever or chills now,the eye infection is improving, but not the ear infections. I can barely hear a thing.Mouth scabs are going away, but the tummy is still very dodgy. Its incredible to contrast Me and Mr Dusty. He brought the cold home, and was better in 4-5 days. After a week I am still devastated, and havent even got to the point where the runny nose becomes thick phelgm.....sigh..... That can last weeks. No wonder I am terrified of covid,I would have no resistance whatsover. I remember one of my worst immune attacks way back in 1984,when I was so ill I ended up in hospital. We had called the doc,at 7pm - yep back then docs would come out to see you .He took one look and called an ambulance I remember having the chills so badly that the hospital bed was literally shaking! All sorts of depressing memories over the years, from dozens, maybe hundreds of attacks. When I have operations and the rest go home in 3 days,I develope pus and nasty infections, stay in for 9 days and then have nurses coming to jab me often for weeks at home. My body is basically a wreck.I dont think the pernicious anaemia/thyroid issues have helped, just more parts of my body to be poorly really. What a life.I am feeling a little better in that I have been able to sit up in the chair and do this postEnd of the fortnight. Have used almost 400 less units of energy this month. Cool.Lets pray it is a mild winter. No news really, except Mr Dusty got his new chair,so he is happy to be sitting comfortably again.reading: managed to complete most of my challenges. I still have about 60 pages of The Box of Delights. Reading 5 or 10 pages then resting I hope to complete it by tomorrow. My brain isnt really working properly to do my TBR for November, but I will go slow and can add books later.Oh dear the weather is atrocious, and people look miserable, and its getting dull and grey. And its only 2.45!I am off to bed now. Hopefully I will continue to slowly improve. Ciao6

Sad to read your last few posts, Dusty, but hopefully you are now on the mend. Don’t rush to get things back to sort of normal. Put yourself first!
