Heathrow terminal transfer

Hi I'm looking for some advice regarding transferring terminals at Heathrow, my flight has been brought forward and now I have 1 hour 45 minutes to get from terminal 5 to terminal 3, is this doable?
I'll be arriving at heathrow (T5) from Newcastle with British airways and departing from T3 with American Airlines and I'm now concerned about time I have to connect.
Anyone done this recently?
Thanks in advance.

The minimum connection time is 1hr30 minutes so your connection is still valid. I would hope both flights are under the same reservation in which case you don't have to worry about bags at Heathrow?
Certainly don't waste time on arrival, follow "flight connections" signs and take the bus between the terminals without going through security in T5. If the journey is on all one ticket and you miss the flight, they will put you on the next connection, easy if it's JFK with multiple flights a day, less easy if your destination only has a single flight from Heathrow!0 -
Thanks,
Yes, both flights on same reservation.
I'm hoping it will be ok but was wondering if anyone on the forum had done this before ie T5 to T3 and could give me their experience.0 -
Heathrow airport website has a flight connection planner so you canfind out exactly how long it will take - enter you flight details herehttps://www.heathrow.com/connecting-flightsThere is also a helpful video about flight connections .0

Yes, I've done it a few times from T5 to T3 (by coincidence, on BA flights from NCL, connecting to AA flights) and it's always gone seamlessly and a lot quicker than 90 mins. As Alan_Bowen said, don't waste time on arrival and all should be good. As an unrelated aside, keep checking and then rechecking the departure times of the BA NCL flight and the AA LHR flight - you only need one, or both to change by a few minutes and your flight connection will become "invalid" and you'll need to play the alternative flights game !

It's one of those regular journey paths for people travelling from Scotland/Newcastle areas. If they didn't give you enough time, that would just be plain cruel.
But as onashoestring says, above, all the info is in the link. Basically just follow all the purple!
