Out of curiosity I plugged my Samsung microwave (not a combi) into a monitor and it shows 1.6W when just the clock is on. It has an ECO button which turns the clock off and the reported usage drops to zero then. So a small saving could be achieved by remembering to do that.

But then an hour later the reported wattage was zero and the clock was still running! I know it has some built-in energy saving features, but the manual doesn't state what the standby usage might be. It's been over an hour now and the kWh used is still 0.000.
