Chase are going through developing their Open Banking API, but it is not yet in general release. They haven't yet fixed the date when it will come out of test.1

It certainly did for me when I last tried it, and I am not going to try it again.400ixl said:Moneydashboard certainly doesn't grind to a halt when updating.
By far not all the companies supported by Moneydashboard use Open Banking.400ixl said:
There is not much they can do if banks like Chase and others do not support basic features such as Open Banking or have open API's that can be used. Blame the deficient banks, not the platforms, it's pretty inexcusable these days.0 -
If you have an IFA, then you could ask them. At least one of the major IFA back office software suppliers offers open banking and integrates with most of the providers that deal with IFAs giving you one portal for the lot.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). In my experience, it isn't actually pretty good at all if you have a lot of accounts (grinds to a halt when updating), it doesn't do a whole lot of what are now standard savings accounts (Shawbrook, Tandem, Marcus, RCI, Chase, Al Rayan, Investec to mention but a few), and it doesn't do investments, apart from HL (as you have found yourself). If you have just a few current accounts to track, there's several apps which do essentially the same.Bartoni79 said:Money dashboard is pretty good and free. AFAIK, there isn't any personal finance package that tracks a really comprehensive range of companies / accounts.I can't see i've noticed any issues like that - though i've only used it on a PC with <10 linked accounts and 20+ "offline sources" (which have to manually updated)... any savings accounts outside of the major banks would likely have to be an offline source...i've been using it for 9 years, though i'm not sure if development has stalled - they've been talking for most of that time of adding PayPal as an account option, but you still can't link to it.back in the day, I used to use ewise (ewise.com.au) first - now *that* did crawl to a halt if you tried to update too many accounts simultaneously! you could also use it to log directly into the linked bank accounts too... the downside was that it only worked with IE10 I think - anything released after that (including Edge), or any other browser, didn't work... though it worked with PayPal, so it can't be that difficult to add PP as an option to MD!

I have very fond memories of ewise, or should I say of AccountUnity, I always had well over 30 accounts, and it worked beautifully until they decided to stop maintaining it because their architecture and approach would not have worked with new developments (Open Banking, 2FA etc). Whilst they did still maintain AccountUnity, it was also incredibly easy to get additional providers added. They even added small outfits like KRBS. Anyway, it's water under the bridge, AccountUnity is no more, not for the UK, anyway.janusdesign said:back in the day, I used to use ewise (ewise.com.au) first - now *that* did crawl to a halt if you tried to update too many accounts simultaneously! you could also use it to log directly into the linked bank accounts too... the downside was that it only worked with IE10 I think - anything released after that (including Edge), or any other browser, didn't work... though it worked with PayPal, so it can't be that difficult to add PP as an option to MD!
Perhaps, as Open Banking becomes more widely adopted, and developers become more experienced with it, the situation might improve one day. They might also actually ask what people would like to see, and how users want to use the information, rather than create fancy looking apps which might or might not solve user requirements.
