    AUTOMATIC DRIVING LICENCE UK

If you have difficulties using manual gears or a stick shift, then taking and passing the automatic driving test is easier than manual. Remember however that you will only be entitled to drive automatics which could be restrictive when renting cars, using courtesy cars and even purchasing car.

Nothing you have posted, states it's not a full licence.
Of course it's a full licence. It just doesn't allow you to drive a manual car. I'm not sure what's so hard about that. You are driving illegally if you drive a manual without the appropriate licence.
Seems to be some confusion with semantics, I reckon.  "Full" is usually used to differentiate it from "Provisional", and if you pass in an automatic, many people refer to it as a "restricted" licence.  But strictly speaking there's no such licence type as "restricted", your licence just covers you for a different set of classes - notably, you'll have category "B Auto" rather than "B".
Just the same as if you've got an ordinary full car licence - you can't go off and drive an HGV, or a public bus, or even a motorbike, without taking another specific test for that class.

There is, what about a medical restriction allowing you only 3 years?

Ask the Op, Benny finds it hard.

I am saying nothing, i have already said that i don't have an opinion on this and you are looking for an argument.
See number 78 and argue with DVLA not me,
    Driving licence codes - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

You mean 78 - restricted to vehicles with automatic transmission

See 01, if you need glasses you're point of view is a full manual licence is not a full licence.

But then you have no opinion but started a thread.

Again you are looking to argue with me when I don't care whether you use restricted or not it really doesn't matter to me.
My original question was about what kind of license you get if you pass your test in an EV (can you drive a manual car)
The word restricted seems to offend you so I won't use it again.

The answer hasn't changed. A full UK licence for category B vehicles with an automatic transmission.

If you don't have an opinion, why did you start this thread? 🤷‍♀️

Look at my original question and what DB1904 turned it into.
As i have said DVLA and other agencies call it "restricted" not me, i think there are just different classes of license.
I passed my car test in a manual in 1993 which i believe gives me the ability to drive some things that are not available to people who pass their test today, also have a motorcycle license and that has changed a lot since i passed.
Today there are all sorts of restrictions on motorcycle riders due to age and experience, horsepower restrictions i believe but when i passed at 17 you could then just ride anything.
I have been forced to use the word restricted again and i know that will bring a certain person back but he can argue on his own.
Once again my original question was simply about how passing a test in an EV affects what else you can drive, i did not see any argument occurring.
I won't bother with asking how passing your test in a self driving car will affect things in the future.

I don't see that posters posts (previous history) unless they are quoted, so was unaware of the cause of a thread drift. :)

No effect in it being electric, hybrid, petrol or diesel.
