From HL Sipp info.
The minimum investment per fund is £100
Does this include my VG ETF, p.s. I've found this fund tracker via Yahoo finance which is cool, added to mobile.

ETF’s are not funds, so that minimum doesn’t apply.Dandytf said:From HL Sipp info.

For ETFs, the minimum is effectively to buy 1 share of the ETF. However that might be. However, you can only set a regular investment in £ amount, so you should just set it accordingly but make sure it’s higher than the cost of 1 share in the ETF.
Obviously the ETF price will fluctuate, but if you have an ETF with a share price of £150 then setting a monthly investment of £100 clearly won’t buy you 1 share!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

I had thought as HL Sipp can be topped up from one pound, that maybe HL would allow me to choose how much I save per month, if as was my 1st attempt lower than 1 ETF share price, then would HL only purchase 1 ETF share after a number of months when savings have accrued enough.george4064 said:

I doubt it works like that to be honest, but worth double checking with HL to confirm for definite.Dandytf said:

I intended to add that as my isa experience where I have chosen one bio tech fund, does ETF saving not accumulate part % savings, though I'll send message, not sure why I can't locate the info.george4064 said:

HL’s website implies that if you don’t have enough cash to purchase 1 share in the ETF, the cash will sit in the account until you invest it.
- If the amount you’ve asked for isn’t enough to buy the shares you’ve chosen, the money will stay in your account until you invest it.

Assuming its VUSA ETF you are buying, with Friday's closing price of £62.40. It's very likely your £65 regular investment will fail to purchase 1 share, especially after the £1.50 dealing fee and stamp duty (if applicable).Dandytf said:

To avoid this problem, just make a regular investment in an equivalent US index fund/OEIC (I.e. not ETF)."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

Might as well build a lump sum to invest. Than waste money on unneccessary fees.1
