KeithP said:B789 said:Just to add... I have evidence that I was crossing the Dartford Tunnel northbound at 13:15, 80 miles away, that day which is 38 minutes after the vehicle is shown leaving the car-park.I have the work order for collecting the car, in my name, and I have the receipt for the crossing and I've requested SAR from Dartford Crossing for the car including any photo or video evidence of the car. I also have the collection receipt for the car signed by the seller and if push came to shove, I could get the seller to make a statement if necessary.Anyway, the point is moot as due to the PoFA requirements, I don't need to prove anything. Britannia need to prove that I was the driver for their case to stick.2

Received the following response to my complaint to the landowner just now:Dear XXXXX,
Many thanks for your email and I'm sorry you've been issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.
If you'll please let me have the PCN reference number and details of the vehicle concerned I'll contact our Car Parks' team to see if there's anything we can do to help you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
XXXXXXX
Waitrose & Partners Customer CareI have responded, thanking them for their prompt reply and provided the PCN reference number. I also noted that I have already appealed the PCN through the Britannia Parking website with the details as posted earlier in this thread. It's a start but nothing conclusive as yet.4 -
That's good. Waitys are usually crap and hide behind Britannia, letting the tail wag the dog.
Which email did you contact please?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Which email did you contact please?Used the contact us/store feedback link from their website here: https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/help-information/customer-service/forms/store-feedbackAs mentioned though, they are only going to "contact" their "car parks team" which is probably Britannia anyway!

Hopefully Britannia Parking will confirm. As many PPCs don't bother (you're not dealing with a respectable sector of British business here!), check your ticket on their website - that should give you its current status. Give a few days for them to update the landowner cancellation if it's not showing cancelled immediately.
Nice one 👍. Plan A wins again.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Amazing they don't know what happens in their car park ....... no penalty was ever issued.
Depends if Britannia will advise you, they might decide they are professional, then again maybe not
The Waitrose letter will suffice ... "charge Notice has been cancelled"2 -

Would you be kind enough to add a reply post with a link to this thread, to the thread linked in the NEWBIES thread called SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCS. That gets seen far more widely than individual threads. Please repeat there who to contact at Waitrose to cancel Britannia charges.
That way, we can signpost people to it long after we've forgotten this single thread title.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Links posted in the Win at first stage thread.
Once again, many thanks to m’learned friends on here.
Edited to add: Just checked for the PCN on the Britannia Parking website and got this response:Sorry, we cannot find this ticket - please check the details you have provided are correct.
If the system is unable to match your PCN number after multiple attempts
please email your appeal to parkingcharges@britpark.com1
