Love Holidays Lost Booking Reference

Not sure on the Hotmail self deletion rules, don't use it myself. My wife never deletes anything in her Hotmail inbox and I just checked, she has emails going back to 2009 when she first started using emails. This was by going to outlook.com. So perhaps the holiday email is still on the hotmail servers, just not your local folders?

I use Gmail and I know I can (via google.com) retrieve any email way back to 2011, regardless whether I deleted it or not.

There's no need to be rude. Westin is a respected poster here and has offered solid advice for next time.

As above, check your card statement or ATOL certificate and failing that, contact LH (there may be details on your account somewhere).

I don't see the response from Blacko1974 as being any more rude than the comment from Westin was unhelpful in resolving the problem.

But since that exchange was nearly a year ago (during which OP hasn't returned), that doesn't really seem a battle worth resuscitating?

Try through your original e-mail provider? My e-mails go to a specific account before being 'redirected' to one that lets me use (and reply) as multiple e-mail addresses. Anything that has disappeared will be in that original account (Apple's e-mail works slightly differently but the end result is the same)

I thought the advice was fairly reasonable. It should be on either an ATOL statement but may be on a credit card or bank statement. Such bank documents are vital occasionally to find missing account information.
