P&O Cancellation - Rotterdam To Hull

I know that this is not flight comp but it is travel comp ( and couldn't find a different suitable category).
I've found the info that there is probably compensation due ( P&O ferry cancellations March 2022 after they sacked 800 staff) but wondered if anyone on here has submitted a claim, is planning to do so or is in a similar situation?  
It was our return journey from Hull to Rotterdam that was cancelled ( we just made it off the ferry on the 17th March as the ferry was "impounded" by security guards). 
Spent more or less the whole holiday in the UK trying to get info on the return journey etc and ended up paying £250 more to sail DFDS + extra hotel nights. 
People's thoughts would be helpful ( and are there any letter templates as I haven't been able to find any).
