Smart Meter Online Data

There are apps, but they can only show historic data and the OP was asking for live usage.TJAN said:I didn't know I could buy a third-party IHD. Sounds great to me. Thank you! Although if it's doable, someone should make an app for it instead of yet another piece of hardware to have.
You mobile cannot connect directly to your smart meter, so an app will not work.1 -

Is that because the gas proxy meter uses a fixed colorific value rather than being sent one?[Deleted User] said:
A SMETS meter communications hub can have up to 4 IHDs/CADs connected to it. Both the IVIE Bud and Glow IHD/CADs are connected to the communications hub by the Registered DCC User. These IHDs will show instant kW for electricity, and kWh usage for both gas and electricity. There is no real-time data available for gas, as the gas meter only sends data to the gas proxy meter in the communications hub once every 30 minutes. The gas proxy meter does the clever bit: it converts gas volume data to kWh and cost ( the cost value will not exactly match your actual bill).RogerBareford said:[Deleted User] said:You could buy an IHD/CAD from Chameleon (IVIE Bud) or Hildebrand (Glow). Both companies are Registered DCC Other Users and they are able to pair their devices with your smart meter. Are you saying they actually connect to the meter directly aswell like a IHD and show realtime KH usage?0 -
I have a smart meter and a IHD/CAD display from Chameleon. I use Loop energy which is free app to do some basic analysis. If you want to get hold of the underlying meter reads every 30 minutes I used n3rgy consumer which can give you access if you have MPAN and IHD GUID which I got from my smart meter display.0
