3.1. After embarking on a long, monotonous motorway journey, the defendant arrived late in the evening at the services and did not see the poorly lit (1) sign displaying the parking terms.

3.2. The defendant parked in an area where there were no signs (2) present and due to not wanting to drive whilst tired had a sleep, then went and bought some refreshments from the services.
These two statement do not make sense, if the sign was poorly lit (1) how did you see there weren't any (2)

I’m not sure precisely what you mean le kirk. I’ve been back since, taken photos, and checked on Google maps street view.

I think I know what you mean now, there’s a sign at the entrance to the car park which was poorly lit and which I didn’t notice. And there were no signs where I was parked. It’s submitted no so I’ll have to clarify either in the witness statement or at court.

If as you say, it is submitted, you will have to clarify matters with your witness statement.
