Unfortunately only NatWest can confirm anything.

Have you (your adult child) asked them to confirm that all required proof of identity has been completed successfully?

Does you adult child need to register themselves before gaining access?

Do they need to open an ISA the ex-CTF can be transferred in to?

Is the issue related to it being an older style CTF?  My adult child's JISA (transferred from a CTF to a JISA years ago) needed to be transferred in to a new adult ISA to be accessed.  The point being, does NatWest support the transfer of a CTF in to a ISA (perhaps they are only geared up for transfers of a JISA into a ISA)?

Why can your adult child not attend university without these funds? Given they have a CTF they should have entitlement for a student loan unless they have been living abroad for the last 3 years?

A child trust fund is not a requirement to get a student loan?

Perhaps the parents have been saving their parental contributions there for the last 18yrs
